Buying
When choosing your future home, you are looking for more than an investment, you are looking to find a home that matches your lifestyle. I understand that and aspire to make your home-buying experience a great one every step of the way. I am here to guide you and support you in making the best decision for you. I pride myself in providing information and talking you through the pros and cons. I like to empower my clients in this process, not tell them what to do. After all, buying a home is more than purchasing a place to live, it’s acquiring a lifestyle — and I know a thing or two about local communities. I live, work, and play in Will & Grundy county. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or have previous experience in real estate, you need high-minded, thoughtful agent guiding you, fighting for you, and looking out for your best interest. My expertise and knowledge will lead you to your new front door. Opportunity is knocking!
Steps in home buying:

1. Analyze - Conduct A Needs Analysis
I know the home buying experience can be an overwhelming process. My expertise of local market and industry will help ease the stress. I have been down this road before, and I will ask necessary questions and gather information from you to kick start the journey of home ownership.

2. Finance – Get Your Finances In Order
This stage of the home buying process focuses on strong financial footing and solidifying your position as a serious market contender. My network of financial experts will help us tighten your finances and get you pre-approved for the loan.

3. Shop – Shop For A Home
Now shopping begins! I will help you prepare a “wish list” of everything you are looking for in your new home and community. I will match your must-haves with the budget and my local expertise to help you find your dream home.

4. Offer – Make An Offer And Negotiate
You have found the home and you are ready to make an offer. I will help you write a purchase contract based on my industry knowledge and in-depth market analysis of the market and negotiate the terms of the offer to ensure you don’t spend any more than you need to.

5. Inspect – Conduct A Property Inspection
Once your offer is selected, we have 5 business days to conduct a home inspection to fully check a home’s condition. If issues arise, I will work with you to develop a plan on how to proceed.

6. Approve – Get Final Financing Approval
This part can get complicated but I know from experience how to keep the final stages of loan approval from becoming overwhelming. I regularly monitor the progress of your transaction and keep in contact with you and your lender to make sure all necessary paperwork is complete.

7. Celebrate – Congratulate Yourself On Your New Home
Making it through the closing can seem like a mountain of details but the view from the top is worth it. Expect to sign a ton of paperwork before you get there, and your real estate attorney and I will make sure you understand every document in the process. A day of or day before the closing, we will conduct a final walk-through, and then, once both parties sign closing statement, the keys are yours and we will celebrate your new home!
